The school values the diversity that students from other countries bring to our inclusive community. International families are encouraged to visit the school in person and should contact the admissions team to arrange a visit.

For the benefit of all students, the school has a policy of maintaining a good balance of British and international students in each class and boarding house.

International applicants are required to sit the same entrance assessments as UK applicants.  In addition, an online EAL test will be part of the assessment process.

Short Stay Programme for International Students

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’s short stay programme provides international students with the opportunity to experience life at our all-girls independent day and boarding school as well as improve their English language skills.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵis experienced in providing an enriching programme for international students staying for one term, two terms or a whole academic year, September to July.

At Woldingham, our international students accelerate their proficiency in English alongside studying a broad spectrum of subjects, while making lasting friendships with girls from a diverse mix of nationalities. We offer a wealth of extra-curricular activities with a dedicated academic programme of study suited to each student’s profile.  Please click on the link below for more information.

Guardians

Guardians

Parents who live abroad must appoint an official guardian for their daughter. Guardians act in loco parentis, taking full responsibility for the student when either parents are unavailable, or the student is unable to remain in school. The guardian must be resident in the UK, must speak English, be at least 25 years of age, and live within one hour travelling time of the school. If the guardian is not a relative or close family friend, they must be AEGIS accredited. ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵgreatly values the role of the guardian and all are welcome to school functions.

The school cannot be involved in the selection or appointment of guardians, but we are happy to put parents in touch with organisations which provide guardianship services.
