In recent weeks our netball teams have seen great successes: excellent results across the board against CLFS; the U14B team beat Warlingham in their district league; the U13A and B teams won their respective District Netball tournaments; and the U12A team have qualified for the Surrey Netball Finals, which will be held in March.

This week saw three of our Mardeners complete their AQA Level 1 Project Qualification presentations, essentially a mini EPQ for which they will receive a formal qualification at the end.

On the Wednesday after Easter, a group of staff, parents, grandparents and friends of Ƶmet up very early at Gatwick Airport at the start of a pilgrimage to walk 140 kilometres, from Sarria to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, in north west Spain.

After an early wake-up call, we met at London Gatwick to start our seven-day adventure to the Alps. Our group of 40 girls and five staff eagerly boarded the plane to fly to Geneva, followed by a swift transfer of a couple of hours, past the beautiful Lake Annecy, to arrive at Les Menuires in time for lunch.

Classics Trip to Greece

The first stop for students on half term’s Classic Trip to Greece was the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, south of Athens. Built in 444 BC – the same year as the Parthenon – there is much left to appreciate, however, the ruins offer little shelter from the rain these days and everyone got thoroughly drenched.
